Even if you can't get to the seaside this Summer, we can give you those effortless beachy waves at home!
The effortless boho beach look is loved by celebrity hair stylist Julie Read as not only does it bring the beach to you, but it adds texture and body to your hair!
We are super excited as we have a tried and tested, quick and simple recipe to make your very own Beach Hair Salt Spray as the first in our Make it yourself: Makers Series!
INGREDIENTS:
1 cup of warm water
2 teaspoons of Himalayan salt
1 teaspoon of Evolve Gentle Cleansing Melt
1 Spray bottle
Step 1
Combine two teaspoons of Himalayan salt ( 3 if your hair is very coarse) with a tablespoon of Gentle Cleansing Melt, swirl together so the Himalayan salt mixes in.
Don't be tempted to add more salt as too much salt will make fine hair fall flat!
NATURAL INGREDIENT FACT:A study carried out by University of Graz found that Himalayan salt can encourage hair growth (BONUS!)
Step 2
Next is when we release the magic in the Gentle Cleansing Melt! Pour the cup of warm water into the mixture and watch it transform into a creamy milk. Swirl until the salt dissolves. This will leave you with a gorgeous, light pink liquid with a stunning light Rose and Vanilla scent!
Our Gentle Cleansing Melt is perfect for a hair spritz as it contains Coconut Oil and when combined with water turns into a creamy milk which nourishes hair! (PLUS it smells incredible)
Step 3
Pour the mixture into an empty bottle with a spritzer or spray pump. Once it is secured in the bottle shake well to ensure all of the ingredients have infused and the salt has dissolved fully!
Step 4
Finally spritz all over damp hair, paying special attention to the lengths and ends and give it a little scrunch to add volume and texture to your locks. Allow to dry naturally to reveal straight off the beach waves!
